Business community spurs sellout drive, NFL extension to Friday at 4 p.m.

Off a strong effort from the business community on Thursday, the Bengals enjoyed a big day at the ticket office in their effort to sell out Sunday's 1:05 p.m. wild card game presented by Fifth Third Bank at Paul Brown Stadium against the Chargers. No numbers were available, but the Bengals had a big enough push from businesses and public sales that they received an extension from the NFL until 4 p.m. Friday to sell out and lift the deadline for a local TV blackout.

A string of businesses stepped up Thursday and provided tickets to military families through the Armed Forces Ticket Association: Fifth Third, Cincinnati Insurance Company, Cintas, United Dairy Farmers, Liberty Mutual/Safeco, WCPO/Scripps and Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse. The Bengals have an excellent record of converting extensions into sellouts, which would put the game on Cincinnati's Channel 12. Dayton, Ohio's Channel 7, and Lexington, Ky.'s Channel 27.

The Bengals are riding a streak of nine straight PBS wins dating back to last season, the longest such streak since the 1988-89 teams won 12 straight, two in the postseason.

Tickets for Sunday’s game can be purchased online here. Fans also may contact Ticketmaster by phone at 800-745-3000.

Tickets also may be purchased through the Bengals Ticket Hotline at 513-621-8383, or toll-free at 866-621-8383 (TDTD), or in person at the PBS ticket office. The Hotline and the ticket office are open until 7 p.m. Thursday and re-open 9 a.m. Friday.
