VOTE HERE: Benson for FedEx Ground Player of the Week

Benson
Bengals running back Cedric Benson has been recognized by the NFL for his efforts in Cincinnati's 17-7 AFC North win over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday.

Benson is one of three finalists for FedEx Ground Player of the Week along with running backs Chris Johnson of Tennessee and Atlanta's Michael Turner.

Benson rushed 34 times for 117 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals victory and surpassed 100 yards rushing against the Ravens for the second time this season. On October 11 Benson became the first rusher in the previous 39 games to top 100 yards against Baltimore. His effort helped Cincinnati remain tied for the AFC North lead with Pittsburgh with a 6-2 mark.

Benson is the only NFL running back to have won the FedEx Ground Player of the Week more than once this season. He previously won the award following Bengals wins against Baltimore on October 11 and Chicago on October 25.

Fans can vote on NFL.com for Benson. Voting for FedEx Ground Player of the Week will remain open until this Friday at noon ET. The winner will be announced Friday evening on NFL.com.

You'll be voting for more than your favorite player. As part of the Air & Ground program, FedEx continues its support of Safe Kids USA -- a national non-profit organization that works to prevent accidental injury among children -- by making weekly $1,000 donations in the winning players' names. The funding, allocated to local Safe Kids coalitions in that team's city, is used for pedestrian safety improvements throughout the year, from upgraded crosswalks and street signage to traffic barriers and educational training.
